Bogged to its nose, a sideboom tractor fights to free itself from an eastern Kansas mud hole on Service Pipe Line Company's project. In spite of mud and rock, the 625-mile line that will serve oil producers of the Rock Mountain area and western Kansas was rushed to completion in record time. Started in mid-September, the project was completed in the middle part of November.
