West of Lewis Avenue, I-44 shifts slightly south to align itself with 51st Street. The interstate stays in the path of 51st Street until just west of the Arkansas River bridge, at which point it shifts to just south of 51st Street. This section of interstate also is part of the last section to be widened in Tulsa. The World Museum building can be seen through the trees where the interstate disappears from view. Photograph taken April 27, 1989.
