This narrow wooden bridge is a flood-relief structure for the 56th Street North bridge over Bird Creek, which is partially visible in the distance. The bridge has wooden piers similar to those found on a railroad bridge, and the deck is wood with an asphalt overlay. Trees are beginning to grow around part of the wooden bridge railing. Like the creek bridge, this bridge also has a load limit and will need to be replaced in the future. Photograph taken June 12, 1985.
