The Okmulgee Beeline (U.S. 75), shown looking south from 71st Street, decends into the Polecat Creek valley. The highway levels out near 96th Street and then crosses a few rolling hills between there and northern Okmulgee County, at which point it crosses a ridge that separates the direct Arkansas River drainage basin and the Canadian River drainage basin, which empties into the Arkansas River near Robert S. Kerr Reservoir. The tanks visible in the distance are at 131st Street and U.S. 75. This photograph was taken July 3, 1987.
