The Broken Arrow Expressway is unique in that it has one thing down the center that no other expressway has - a railroad. The Missouri Kansas Texas Railroad travels in the center of the expressway from just east of Lewis Avenue to just west of Sheridan Road. It shares common crossings with the expressway at 15th, 21st and 31st streets, and Harvard, Pittsburgh, Yale and Irvington avenues. This view is looking southeast from Irvington Avenue where the eastbound lanes of the expressway cross the railroad. The Sheridan Road crossing is around the bend.
