Traffic flows over new pavement at the I-44/S.H. 66/S.H. 33 interchange in east Tulsa. The interchange received new concrete a couple of years ago to replace rough roadways, but no bridges were replaced. This view, looking east near 193rd East Avenue, shows I-44 and S.H. 66 exiting to the left while S.H. 33 continues east to Chouteau and the Arkansas border. After splitting from S.H. 33, I-44 and S.H. 66 split, with S.H. 66 traveling through Catoosa, Claremore and other communities before terminating at U.S. 60 near Vinita, while I-44 travels the Will Rogers Turnpike to Missouri. This photograph was taken July 16, 1987.
