New concrete bridge decks are open on the Broken Arrow Expressway bridges at 31st Street and Yale Avenue, and traffic has returned to normal. This view, looking west along the eastbound lanes, shows the new bridge decks and railings.The outside two lanes were redecked first, followed by the inside lane. The bridge girders also were repainted a dark brown, and the concrete substructure and exterior bridge railings were painted tan. The railroad spur has been removed, so the flashing signal also is gone. This photograph was taken April 12, 1986.
