A congested, two-lane section of Sheridan Road will be improved in the next few years if Tulsa voters approve the 1985 sales tax extension April 9. The continuous four-lane section of Sheridan Road ends at 53rd Street, which is the farthest north of any major street in Tulsa from Memorial Drive to the west. The two-lane road has shoulders in some areas, but they are very deteriorated in parts. This view, looking north, shows the 61st Street and Sheridan Road intersection, which was completed last year, and the two lane section proposed for widening in the background. This photograph was taken January 7, 1985.
