The westbound lanes of 61st Street at Yale Avenue have opened to traffic, which has improved traffic flow at the intersection, including removal of the no-left-turn signs. Construction is beginning on the eastbound dual-left-turn median, the first of four to be built at the intersection, and barrels outline the future westbound median. On a side note, Yale Avenue has reopened between 66th and 71st streets, so traffic on Yale Avenue will be somewhat heavier than in recent months. This photograph was taken April 6, 1984.
