A traffic switchover soon will occur that will allow for the final paving job at 61st Street and Sheridan Road. The eastbound lanes on the east approach likely will open within the next week, which will allow crews to rebuild the westbound lanes of 61st Street east of Sheridan Road. This work will complete paving at the intersection, as paving is complete on Sheridan Road, and curbing work is nearing completion. The permanent traffic signal has been installed, but the left- and right-turn arrows are out of service at this time. This photograph was taken March 25, 1984.
