Yale Avenue has reopened to two lanes each way at 61st Street, which has allowed the city to remove the no-left-turn signs. The left-turn signals, however, will not be restored until the project is completed next summer. The left - and right-turn lanes are closed at this time. Under the barrels are the bent reinforcing rods that will serve as the base for the new left-turn median. The rods will be straightened when the median is poured. In the distance is one of the older MTTA busses. This photograph was taken December 1, 1983.
