Sixty-First Street will close next week for several months for excavating and leveling the two hills between Harvard and Sandusky avenues. The first section to close will be between Oswego and Quebec avenues. This view, looking east from Marion Avenue, shows a sign that indicates the road closure. Both hills will be lowered, and the dirt will be used to level out the base of the hill to improve the grade. Retaining walls also are included in this phase of the project.
