Traffic flow is much improved on 81st Street following completion of the widening project at Harvard Avenue. The congestion that existed a year ago is history, as the wider intersection handles the flow much better than its predecessor. The four-lane road is brief because the street narrows to two lanes at the top of the hill. At this time, there are no funded projects to widen any of the four road segments approaching this intersection. This photograph was taken June 20, 1987.
