Work has resumed at 81st Street and Harvard Avenue following a two-week break caused by ice and snow. Following the ice storm two weeks ago, a snowstorm hit Tulsa and shut work down for a few of days. Warm weather has returned and melted the snow and ice, and work is resuming on excavating the northbound lanes south of 81st Street. The white structure in the distance near the roadbed originally held a sign for the Walnut Creek Centre II shopping center. This This photograph was was taken from atop a large dirt mound on the northeast corner, which explains why the traffic signals nearly are at eye level or below.
