Traffic on 91st Street has been switched to the new eastbound lanes even though paving of the left-turn lane remains unfinished. Work is under way on removing the old westbound lanes for the final paving at the intersection. However, this work has been halted for a few days as winter has returned to Tulsa following last week's warm weather. A heavy snowstorm blew through with strong northerly winds that coated anything facing north, such as utility poles and traffic signals, with snow, as evidenced by the white strips seen on the utility poles in this picture. This photograph was taken February 8, 1986.
