This intersection is one of seven individual intersections (not included in a street widening project) that will be funded by the 1983 street bond issue. The intersection is a key access point for most Tulsa motorists east of the Arkansas River traveling to Jenks, as they must pass through the site unless they come from 101st Street or points south. As a result, congestion is frequent at the intersection, especially for westbound and northbound motorists. Eastbound traffic going to Jenks has an express right-turn lane to go south on Delaware Avenue, so the congestion isn't as bad on that approach. However, on Christmas Day, the intersection has little traffic. At the time of this This photograph was , the temperature was about 10 degrees. This photograph was taken December 25, 1983.
