Construction is under way on widening and rebuilding Harvard Avenue between Apache Street and the Gilcrease Expressway. The orignal street had concrete inner lanes and asphalt outer lanes, all of which were quite deteriorated. A 1985 sales tax project provided funds to widen and rebuild the street, and this work began earlier this spring. Now, the southbound lanes have been dug up, and dirt work is under way on these lanes. In the background is the Gilcrease Expressway bridge. Photograph taken April 5, 1987.
