The southbound I-244/U.S. 75 Arkansas River bridge is complete with all lanes open to traffic. The new deck offers motorists a much smoother ride than the old deteriorated deck from earlier this year. In addition to the bridge, the southbound U.S. 75 ramp in the Southwest Interchange, the Seventh Street entrance ramp and the 17th Street exit ramp all have reopened. Construction is continuing on the northbound bridge, and about half of the concrete overlay still needs to be installed. Two ramps remain closed, the 17th Street entrance ramp and the northbound exit ramp (U.S. 75) to the Broken Arrow Expressway. Photograph taken October 1987.
