Left-turn medians are being installed at 21st Street and Utica Avenue, which indicates that the project is close to completion. The westbound median has been poured, and a new fence has been installed on the median to keep motorists from crossing it. This fence is similar to the fence on the original median prior to construction beginning last spring. However, that fence wasn't as visible because it was covered with shrubs. Work is under way on the eastbound median, which will not have a fence. Resurfacing also has been completed, and striping should occur next week. Photograph taken October 23, 1982.
