The west end of the I-44 Arkansas River bridge has been completed, including the railings, and the decking scaffold has been removed from the first four spans of the bridge. The decking scaffold now has reached the center of the bridge, which has a pier containing several exposed reinforcing rods. These will form the foundation for an overhead sign that will be installed on the bridge. Photograph taken June 7, 1983.
