The 23rd Street railroad bridge opened on August 15, 1983, and the 21st Street Arkansas River bridge now is closed for a two-year renovation. The new railroad bridge is four lanes and has four spans. The road (including the bridge) was rebuilt with concrete between the city of Tulsa maintenance yard (foreground) and Jackson Avenue. This concludes the first phase of the 21st Street bridge project.
