A tanker truck (trailer only) has been tied to the Pedestrian Bridge following a journey downriver. According to news reports, the tanker washed into the river at Sand Springs and first got caught at the Burlington Northern Railroad bridge. After becoming free, it floated another two miles downstream to the Pedestrian Bridge, where workers secured it with cables until it could be removed. The Pedestrian Bridge survived the flood, but some planks were damaged. As a result, the bridge temporarily is closed. To the right is a log that came to rest upon the dam following the flood.
