The Arkansas River's roaring waters have washed out the cofferdams and inundated the low water dam construction area. Crews removed their equipment before the high water came, so there was no problem there. However, a couple of pieces were left in the river, including a concrete bucket on top of a floodgate tower and a vertical ladder leaning against the pumphouse tower behind the floodgate. A metal grid is keeping the ladder from washing away. A small piece of the cofferdam is visible (center-right), and it likely will be a few weeks before work resumes on the dam.
