The deep freeze that has been in Tulsa for the past two weeks has left the area, and temperatures have rebounded, with the high, according to reports, reaching 73 degress on this date, which is quite a contrast to the bitter cold a few days earlier. There still is some ice/snow visible on the sand bars in the Arkansas River, and some pieces of ice also have been floating down the river. The 21st Street bridge now is closed, and the deck has been removed from two arches at the east end. Photograph taken January 5, 1984.
