The Snake Creek bridge on Mingo Road was replaced in 2001 with a curved span that improves the alignment between Mingo Road and 191st Street.
The old bridge, which was built in 1910, had a three-ton load limit. The new bridge is two spans and curves to the southeast, which eliminates a snaky road that originally went south from the bridge and made several curves before going east on 191st Street. The section of 191st Street continues to the west from the bridge’s north side.
This is one of the last steel-truss bridges to be replaced in Tulsa County.
