Southbound traffic on Yale Avenue is heavy at p.m. rush hour. However, motorists now have five lanes to choose from instead of one. In 1987, the city changed the left-turn signal from a "restricted" left to a signal with a "yield turn on green" option, and this has helped traffic flow at the intersection. However, the restricted left-turn signal returned in 1990. Photograph taken June 1988.
