The 71st Street and Harvard Avenue intersection is overloaded and congested, with traffic jams on 71st Street sometimes extending up to a mile. The intersection is funded by the 1983 bond issue, but it is unknown when construction will begin. This is the only major 71st Street intersection in Tulsa (east of the Arkansas River) without any businesses. This view shows the intersection looking east. Photograph taken May 2, 1986.
