Following many years of being dormant, construction is under way on building a new Boulder Avenue bridge over the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad in downtown Tulsa. Construction began on the bridge in early 2012 with the pouring of abutment walls and two piers for the new bridge. Steel girders were erected in early summer, and decking is under way. According to reports, the bridge will include murals and plaques about Tulsa, with one of the concrete plaque holders shown in forms at left. Photo taken July 28, 2012.
