Traffic signal conversions concluded at Sixth Street and Peoria Avenue in late July 1982, and the signal system now is less cluttered than in the past. The left-turn signal on Peoria Avenue is in "yield" mode, so traffic can turn left on a green light when possible. Traffic flows smoothly through the intersection. In the background is the MKT Railroad, with I-244 beyond it. To the left of this intersection is Central Park. Photo taken January 1986.
