              The 41st Street and Yale Avenue intersection is home to two of Tulsa's major shopping centers, with Southroads Mall on the northeast corner and Southland Shopping Center (will be Tulsa Promenade when renovation is completed in 1986) on the southeast corner. Southroads Mall houses stores such as Vandever's, Renberg's and Foley's (previously was a Woolco), and numerous smaller stores and restaurants, including Piccadilly Cafeteria. Southland Shopping Center is home to JC Penney's and Dillard's (previously Brown Dunkin), while some other pre-renovation tenants included Froug's, Clarke's and Borden's Cafeteria. Southland featured an open-air mall that was one level, but the new Tulsa Promenade will be two stories and enclosed. The intersection is quite busy at times but handles traffic well. It is four lanes on each approach with left-turn lanes each direction and a right-turn lane for westbound traffic. The road is quite rough and needs rehabilitation. Photo taken May 1985.
