The 31st Street and Yale Avenue intersection underwent a complete traffic signal conversion in 2004, which included new poles, mast arms and signals. The "doghouse" signal replaced the left- and right-turn signals, and each direction now has three signals instead of four for all but southbound traffic, which always had three. Right-turn arrows were deleted for southbound traffic, as it does not have a right-turn lane. Since the last photo was taken in 1985, the Broken Arrow Expressway bridges also have been redecked and repainted, with work concluding in the spring of 1986. The Tulsa Message Center also has been removed. Photo taken October 2007.
