The 11th Street and Lewis Avenue intersection is another of Tulsa's older intersections that is located along the former route of U.S. 66. The intersection is four lanes on each approach, with left-turn lanes on 11th Street. Lewis Avenue has 24-hour no-left-turn signs, and there are no plans to improve the intersection. On the southwest corner is the Meadow Gold Sign, which once had a clock on top of it. Cox Motors is located on the northwest corner, while the MKT Railroad passes south and west of the intersection. Downtown Tulsa is barely visible in the distance, as some patchy fog was present at the time of the photo. Photo taken July 1982.
