The 21st Street and Memorial Drive intersection will receive improvements as part of the 21st Street widening project between Memorial Drive and 99th East Avenue. The project, which is funded by the 1980s sales tax, will include widening the section of 21st Street to four lanes with a left-turn median, building a new bridge at Mingo Creek and installing right-turn lanes at this intersection. A new traffic signal also will be installed at that time. Traffic flow should be much improved following the widening project. Photo taken July 1982.
