The Mingo Road approaches at 61st Street received temporary improvements as part of the 61st Street widening project between 85th East Avenue and the Mingo Valley Expressway. The improvements included asphalt approaches with one through lane each way, along with left- and right-turn lanes. The interim improvements will remain until Mingo Road is widened between 51st and 71st streets, at which time the approaches will be rebuilt with concrete. The Mingo Road project is funded by the 1996 sales tax, but no construction timetable has been announced. This view is looking north. Photograph taken June 19, 1997.
