The reconstruction and widening of Lewis Avenue between 61st and 75th streets is partially complete, as all lanes are open on the section between 71st and 75th streets. The street had a half lane added to each side, including new curbs and gutters, and then was resurfaced with asphalt. Concrete was poured in the transition zone between 75th Street and the wider portion in front of Oral Roberts University. Work still is under way on the portion between 61st and 71st streets. The project is funded by the 2001 and 2006 sales tax packages. Photograph taken December19, 2010.
