A Burlington Northern train picks up steam as it passes beneath the Boulder Avenue railroad bridge, the last Depression-era railroad bridge that remains in use in its entirety. The bridge, which is one-way northbound, has a 10-ton load limit, and cars usually are parked on it during the weekdays. There are five spans visible on the bridge, as the remaining spans are hidden behind the Nichols Transfer and Storage warehouse on the right. At this time, there are no plans or funds available to replace the bridge. The Cheyenne Avenue crossing is visible below the bridge. Photograph taken April 22, 1982.
