Demolition of the damaged span on the Boston Avenue bridge is complete, and a string of warning flags has been installed to keep pedestrians from getting too close. Looking at the picture, it would appear that there is a giant "step" up between the two sections. However, that "step" actually is a little bigger, as is shown in Image D. At right, one can see a parking spot under the bridge railing, the only indication that things may not be as they appear. Photograph taken June 1982.
