Access to the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus improved considerably following the widening of 81st Street and Mingo Road and 81st Street between Mingo Road and the Mingo Valley Expressway. This view, looking west from the expressway, shows the new five-lane roadway with the Tulsa Community College entrance at the first signal and Mingo Road in the distance. The street was widened to five lanes, and the intersection was widened to four lanes with left- and right-turn lanes on each approach. The lines on the pavement in the foreground indicate where temporary striping was placed for detours during the widening project. The project was constructed in 2007 and was funded by the 2001 and 2006 sales tax packages. Photograph taken April 14, 2008.
