A minor widening project has helped reduce traffic congestion at 61st Street and 129th East Avenue. The project added a left-turn lane to each approach, which now makes each approach three lanes. Some drainage work was done on the northwest corner, but the majority of the work involved adding an additional lane and installing the new traffic signal. The project was completed in 1993. Photograph taken July 1994.
