Minor improvements without major construction have helped relieve some congestion at 51st Street and 129th East Avenue. The work involved some minor widening on the north and east approaches to allow left-turn signals to be installed. A left-turn signal also was installed for eastbound traffic, which has had a left-turn lane for many years. The project was completed in 1993, and this should help traffic flow until a major widening project occurs in the future. Photograph taken July 1994.
