Traffic congestion became history at 31st Street and 129th East Avenue following completion of a widening project in 1997. The 1991 sales tax provided funds to widen the intersection to four lanes with left- and right-turn lanes on each approach. Like many of Tulsa's newer intersections, there are no left-turn medians at the intersection, as a double yellow line outlines the left-turn lane. This intersection presently is not connected to any four-lane roadways. The southwest corner now has a Quik Trip, which makes all four corners of the intersection developed. Photograph taken May 1999.
