The section of 129th East Avenue between 21st and 31st streets was widened to four lanes in the early 2000s, with construction ending in 2002. The road is four lanes without a left-turn lane and is asphalt with a concrete curb/gutter. A school crossing signal, which operates year-round as a pedestrian crossing light, was installed near 25th Street. Traffic is much improved on this section of 129th East Avenue. The warning signs in the foreground are for the street widening project between 31st and 41st streets, which is the last section of the street scheduled to be widened at this time. It is scheduled for completion near the end of 2011. Photograph taken June 25, 2011.
