The section of 129th East Avenue between 21st and 31st streets likely will be the next section widened along the street, as work recently ended on a project to widen the street between I-244 and 21st Street. Utilities were relocated years ago along the roadway, but no funding is available now to build the project. The 31st Street intersection, foreground, often is congested on weekdays, and temporary passing lanes have been installed to assist with travel through the intersection. The street is two lanes south of 21st Street except in the vicinity of the Broken Arrow Expressway. Photograph taken December25, 1988.
