The 11th Street and 129th East Avenue intersection was widened in 1987-1988 as part of the 129th East Avenue widening project between Interstate 244 and 21st Street. The intersection and 129th East Avenue approaches are concrete, while the 11th Street approaches are asphalt with some concrete curbs near the actual intersection. The 129th East Avenue approaches received four lanes with left- and right-turn lanes, and the 11th Street approaches received a left-turn lane, one through lane each direction and a right-turn lane. The 11th Street approaches eventually will be rebuilt when 11th Street is widened through the area. This work is not funded. Photograph taken September 1988.
