Clearing of right of way for the Mingo Valley Expressway has reached 61st Street and left a giant swath in its wake between 61st and 71st streets. Looking north from 66th Street, some of the dirt for the 61st Street bridge is visible in the form of a large mound. A reinforced-concrete box bridge will be built over a stream near 64th Street, as evidenced by the reinforcing rods near the distant brushpile on the left. The temporary power line relocation is complete, and the line now crosses the expressway south of 61st Street. Photograph taken October31, 1986.
