Utilities are being relocated at the future 71st Street interchange with the Mingo Valley Expressway, as shown in this view looking east. The utility poles' new location will accommodate a six-lane street with a wider median, which is why they are such a great distance from the present roadway. The trees, houses and barns at left are in the path of the future expressway interchange and will be removed. The small culvert on 71st Street will be replaced with a larger drainage structure.
