Construction has begun at 51st Street and Mingo Road, with the first jobs involving replacing two culverts with reinforced-concrete box bridges. This view, looking west on 51st Street, shows a detour that soon will open for construction of the bridge on 51st Street east of Mingo Road. The north half of the bridge will be the first built. Piers already have been poured for the Mingo Road bridge's east half. Dirt work also under way for a detour on 51st Street between the bridge site and the Mingo Valley Expressway.
