Traffic on Garnett Road has been switched to the new southbound lanes, and the old northbound lanes soon will be removed and repaved. The seam in the old lanes marks the boundary between the original road and the asphalt detour lane that was installed earlier this year. The new southbound lanes are concrete at the intersection but convert to asphalt where the road begins narrowing to two lanes. Dirt work is under way on the eastbound lanes of 41st Street.
