Traffic has been switched over on 41st Street, and work is under way on removing the old eastbound lanes between the Mingo Valley Expressway and east of Garnett Road. In the foreground, workers are installing paving forms to complete paving of the southbound lanes on Garnett Road. After this section is paved, Garnett Road traffic can be switched to these lanes to allow reconstruction of the northbound lanes. To help reduce congestion, no-left-turn signs have been installed on 41st Street and are in effect at all hours. No restrictions are in place for Garnett Road. The traffic signal pole for the permanent westbound signals recently was installed on the northwest corner. The remaining three poles have not been installed. Photograph taken June 27, 1986.
