Paving is nearing completion on the westbound lanes of 41st Street at Garnett Road. This view, looking west, shows the two main westbound lanes and the right-turn lane, which still needs to be curbed. Driveway connections to businesses also need to be poured. Within a few weeks, traffic will be switched to these lanes, and the eastbound lanes will be rebuilt. The northeast corner of the intersection will remain asphalt until later in the project, as this portion will be used until the westbound and northbound lanes can be closed. Paving is under way on the southbound lanes of Garnett Road, but the eastbound lanes will need to be rebuilt so traffic can be returned to them to allow repaving of the northeast intersection portion.
